“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” (1Pe 2:9 NKJV) He Called You Telephones have changed a lot over the years. The home phone has been replaced by the cell phone. You weren’t always at home so you could miss calls. The answering machine was the fix to that problem. Now the caller could leave you a message and you could return the call. The cell phone changed all that. Now we are available 24/7. We still have voice mail for those times when we can’t or maybe won’t answer the phone. But you never have to miss a call again. When God called you through the hearing of the Gospel, it was the greatest call you’ll ever receive. Some people shrug it off as unimportant. Some people just blatantly refuse. This is one call you don’t want to miss. The very voice that spoke creation into existence called you to salvation in Jesus. Just take a moment and let that sink in a bit. The God of Glory personally called you to trust Jesus as Savior. What you heard was the voice of God. He called you. When God spoke creation into existence He did so to show His power and Glory. When God called you to salvation in Jesus He did so for the same reason. You also display His Love and Grace. Just as creation declares the wonder of God, you declare His Love. You shine as the stars in the blackness of space. He called you to become part of His chosen generation to proclaim His praise. He called you and you are His.. Jesus is LORD!!
