By 12 noon, Fr. Greg brought us to the place where St. Paul was beheaded. There is the church where the head of St Paul bounced thrice which is now known trevi Fontana (3 fountains). We know that St Paul is one of the pillars of the church. He is known as the apostle to the Gentile world. He is a former persecutor of the church, then when he was traveling to Damascus, ne was blinded and a voice was heard: “Saul, Saul why do you persecute me?” Then he was led to the house of Barnabas wherein his sight was given back. Since then he became a believer of Christ. He has a sword which symbolized that he was martyred by beheading. He cannot be crucified because he is a Roman citizen.
