By Apostle Bronwyn Botha Reflections on Proverbs 119: 105 - 112 105: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. - if we think about Christ being the word of God; the personification of Gods promise, the expression of Himself in this dimension to set the pattern for our redemption. We can see how God continually expounds upon the revelation of Christ to teach us about Himself and of the kingdom of our true origin. As the first revelation of Christ was made known to Adam, every thought of God and every judgement passed has been in defence of The truth; Gods plan, pattern and purpose to redeem those who consented to His plan, to be tried and found worthy of the Throne of glory. We can see even now an expunding taking place on the understanding of our growth cycles. From first learning of the 3 phases.. Revelation, resistance and reward.We are now learning how to fully rejoice in the revelation during the resistance stage; rather than be swept away by keeping our focus on the suffering; we now know and fully comprehend the reward of our overcoming. The 6 point excercise has made us truly cognitive of what God is addressing for healing, what aspects of self are being overcome and how Satan once exploited our vulnerablities to keep the pattern of ignorance unfolding in our lives. More than a year ago I recieved the word Fluent in Truth you are going to love the next couple of verses... 106. I have sworn, (consented), and I will perform it, (6 point excercise that assists us to perform as vigilant soldiers upon the battle field of faith) that I will keep thy righteous judgments. 7. I am afflicted very much: quicken me, o Lord, according to thy word. (transition me from darkness to life for I have consented to your plan and have endured according to Your pattern; let me ascend towards those things that pertain unto life and godliness). 8. Accept, I beseech, the freewill OFFERRING OF MY MOUTH, O Lord teach me thy judgments. Fluent: smoothly and skillfully spoken. Definition of Truth from the glossary. There are 3 manifestations of truth: Christ himself, that which he says and the things He does (WHICH IS THE PRODUCT OF HIS WORK IN US). John 17:17 Sanctify them through your word, Your word is Truth. The spirit uses Truth to deliver us from the things which are temporary and to place in us that which is eternal; thus Truth cleanses us from prior INCLINATIONS, and prevents Satan from seeding anew in us. Praise God! Proverbs continued 109. My soul is continually in my hand: (we have a resposibility to allow our souls to be governed by grace and truth through the activity of faith and this a choice that is given to each of us to make for ourselves): yet do I not forget thy law. 110: The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts. (We err not from the truth when ignorance is put off and discernment is put on through reflection). 111: Thy testimonies have taken a heritage for ever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart. 112: I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes always, even unto the end. ss As we consent to the redemptive work of the spirit; we ascend from glory to glory as virtue upon virtue is added to our faith.
