By Rex Fritchey: Why there is so much confusion about the Rapture September 19, 2011 at 2:00pm There is far more confusion today about the rapture than there need be. I believe that much of that confusion comes because most Christian Churches do not consider The Seven Feasts of The Lord (Leviticus 23, of the O.T.), and the teaching of prophecy relevant in their Christian Education Curriculum. The Seven Feasts of The Lord are a prophetic, chronological, blueprint by God Himself for the redemption of man. It was important to God in the O.T. so why is it not important enough to teach on, today? These Seven Feasts are APPOINTED TIMES (Moed in Hebrew) for us to proclaim each memorial. 1. Passover: The foundational Feast, without Jesus dying on the Cross and shedding His sinless blood for us, there would be no need for any of the other feasts. 2. Unleavened Bread: speaks of Communion with Christ, and living holy, righteous lives before God in Christ. 3. First Fruit: Jesus is the first fruit of our Redemption. Jesus defeated Satan in hell, freed the captives, and we each have been resurrected by that same resurrection power when we give our lives to Jesus. 4. The Wave offering corresponds to the day of Pentecost for the Church and it comes 50 days days after Jesus went to the Cross. The Wave Offering was to help the poor and needy and the four corners of the field were to be left while harvesting so the poor and needy could glean from the harvest. Pentecost is an empowerment by The Holy Spirit for the Church so that we can take the Gospel to the four corners of the Earth whereby the poor in spirit, and those in need of spiritual food can become fed. The harvest period is very brief and is the shortest part of Gods seed/ time/harvest format. This period goes from the birth of the Church 2000 years ago to the end of the harvest wherein the Church Age concludes ABRUPTLY. The field is ripe for harvest now, but will soon be over. There will be a second harvest during the Seven Year Tribulation with the 144,000 Jewish Priests, but it will come with a high price. (These first 4 Feasts were ALL Spring Feasts and each Feast has a precise appointed time, or Moed) 5. Feast of Trumpets: Once Gods Gospel has been preached to all the nations of the world (and it has been according to Billy Grahams daughter), the end of the Age will close. According to Jewish beliefs, The Feast of Trumpets is blown at Rosh Hashannah, the Jewish New Year the Feast of Trumpets is always a FALL FEAST and on a prescribed date (or Moed) by God. [Oct 28-29] for 2011.The Jews believe that God opens a window in Heaven at this particular time for the righteous or good person to enter into Gods presence. Corporate Israel still believe that good works will get them into Heaven, but they fail to see the scarlet thread (Jesus Christ) in these Seven Feasts. Christians see Jesus Christ, but fail to relate the significance of these Feasts that God, Himself, provides for us to read and use just like a spiritual, prophetic road map... yet, we ignore this very resource He provides us and because of this, we end of with our own belief systems and opinions and we treat Gods Holy Word as it was strictly written for the Jews, forgetting that we ARE Jews Grafted into The Vine, ourselves. We end up treating Gods Word as theories, instead of as perfect TRUTH. When we read about Pauls vision given to him by Jesus, Himself, we can get a more clear understanding of 1stThessalonians 4:15 when we realize that Paul even credited his vision about the rapture to The Lord, and... Gods Word is True and will not return unto Him void. (Isa; 55-11). Note Paul states: that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord [the rapture...NOT the Second Coming. There is a 7 year differential!], will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For The Lord, Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel [Gabriel] and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are still alive and remain will be caught up together with them IN THE CLOUDS to meet The Lord IN THE AIR, and so we shall always be with The Lord. THEREFORE, COMFORT ONE ANOTHER WITH THESE WORDS. There is little comfort in believing were going through the Seven Year Tribulation, and even less when Jesus, Himself PROMISES that the believing Church wont see ANY PART of the tribulation. (Rev 3:10) We are acting in unbelief when we choose to believe otherwise and we dilute our faith questioning Gods Word. We, simply, must come into agreement with it. Thats how we overcome..ing into agreement with what He says, not with what man theorizes. 6. The Feast of Atonement involves humbling oneself before The Lord. It would naturally follow the rapture of the Church and all those left behind will feel conviction, big time, particularly IF theyve heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and never accepted Him as their Lord and Savior. It is a typology of the Seven Year Tribulation because God WILL HUMBLE every proud, arrogant individual into bowing their knee and confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord. He spends 7 years doing this while the Bride of Christ is in Heaven with her Bridegroom, Jesus consummating our wedding Supper. This is where Jesus, Himself, toasts His Bride and drinks the wine that he refused to drink at the Last Supper. (Rev: 19:9) He wanted to wait until the indignation on earth was complete. (Isaiah 26:20) Then we all get on a white horse and Jesus leads the way back and we follow Him to Armageddon and the Mt. of Olives at the Second Coming...Seven years after the Church was initially raptured. We need to remember the purpose of the wedding were attending is to consummate our vows with Jesus at the Wedding Supper of The Lamb . (Rev; 19: 7-9)...not to go through a war zone wherein 1/4 of the Earths population is destroyed during just the first half of the Seven Year Tribulation. Once we understand this point, the notion of anything other than a pre-trib rapture becomes ludicrous. God can handle the Seven Year Tribulation all by Himself. He doesnt need to use His Sons Bride to do this work any more than Jesus needs the returning Churchs help at Armageddon to defeat Gods enemies. The Church completed its work by fulfilling the Great Commission. Were just coming back for the ride to witness Gods awesome power and to observe how every knee bows and every tongue confesses that Jesus IS LORD! Plus, we assist Jesus during the Millennium with His Theocratic rule. 7. Feast of Tabernacles: This is done yearly by all the nations of the world, following the Seven Year Tribulation whereby all nations honor God and come to Jerusalem, faithfully, on a prescribed date, or the nations will not receive rain. (Zech 14:16-17) God rules, from then on with a Theocratic iron rule and equality & justice WILL prevail all during the thousand year millennium. Bottom line: We need to follow Gods prophetic road map by observing each of His Feast Dates...not just Ressurection Sunday, and realize that God is NOT trying to hide anything from us. Even the scripture that we cant know the day or hour refers to Rosh Hashannah...NOT the timing of the rapture. We must remember that the Jews needed 2 days to discover the first sliver of a NEW MOON before proclaiming their new year had begun. Its pitch black on a new moon. That explains the 3 days of darkness that will come over the earth following the rapture of the church. ALL THE OTHER FEASTS COME ON A FULL MOON! Again, God is speaking to us. Are we listening? Are we observing the signs he said to look for? The signs [Matthew 24] Jesus gave His Jewish Disciples were for the SECOND COMING...not the rapture for the mystery of the rapture was given to Paul ONLY and that revelation was for The Church..first at the rapture for believing Christians, then Corporate Israel at the Second Coming...seven years later! Praise God and His soon Coming for His Bride! Note that Gods Seven Feasts are very orderly and progressive. Note, too, that the next Feast and important date on Gods calendar is the rapture of the church. Is it not easy to see where the rapture is linked to the Feast of Trumpets? Is it not easy to see that the Feast of Trumpets is linked to Rosh Hashanah? It really doesnt seem to fit anywhere else, does it? Is it not easy to see that the Church Age might be drawing to a close? All dispensations have a beginning...a middle...and an end. This one will shut, just as abruptly as it began when Jesus spilt His sinless Blood for us jump starting the whole prophetic plan of God! God is a God of order and is very precise and mathematical. We need to be fine tuned ourselves to that order and take Gods Word just as it is stated, praise His Holy Name!
