By Shawn Ashley Sears: Budget talks continue, sticking points remain Talks between the governor’s office, the House and the Senate continue and there are some major sticking points. But the vice chair of the House Appropriations and Budget Committee said Tuesday they are nothing that cannot be overcome. “There are numerous sticking points,” Rep. Earl Sears, R-Bartlesville and the House Appropriations and Budget vice chair, said Tuesday, “but there nothing that can’t be overcome.” Among the issue facing budget negotiators, said Sears, are: • How to use funds for state employee pay raises; • Education funding; • The use of revolving funds; and • The percentage of agency cuts.
