By Walid Ismail Whats good about summer agricultural production? The products of agriculture in summer mostly consist of the kharif crops: Maize, rice, and Cotton. There are also many more products of the agriculture done in summer. The main importance of all these crops is that their quantity and quality is good,so a lot of it is exported to foreign countries to increase Pakistans wealth.Although most of it is put into exporting,lots of it are also sold within the country.This helps the farmers gain money to feed themselves and their families when they sell their crops (summer agricultural products) in the large cities such as Karachi. Besides selling the crops to earn money in the cities,some farmers and less fortunate people (some stuck in the cycle of poverty or may not be able to produce enough food) usually use their outputs for themselves only. Industries and organisations can also be setup to work in the agricultural industry which would help Pakistans land and economy if its done in a proper and sustainable way. It can also reduce unemployment, and even help the locals (that is, if some organisations help reclaim or fix impure land).
