By adminon Tue, 28 Jan 2014 “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17 While talking on the phone with a close friend one evening, we went to the Lord in prayer. We worshiped God, prayed over our friendship, our husbands and children, and our lives. After the prayer, we both felt lighter, were refreshed, strengthened, encouraged deeply in our hearts, and felt as though we can press on. There is no greater joy than to go to the Lord with a friend and draw from His well. It’s the best trip you can take with those you love. People may see you smiling and looking refreshed, and may wonder where did you go. You’ll be able to say, “I went to the Lord with a friend!” Be thankful for the people God has placed in your life. No one is an island to themselves. We all need God first and foremost, and we also need relationships. When you pray to God, He can bless you with the gift of friendship. When He gives it, it is important that you water, nurture and care for it like a flower in a garden. The best way to accomplish that is through prayer. God wants to be involved in your relationships too, and when you honor God by seeking Him, He will honor your relationships. Prayer: Father, I thank You for being my God. You are wonderful and so amazing. Thank You for giving me relationships with Your children that are a tremendous blessing in my life and theirs. I pray you bless every woman in The Body of Christ with a friend. No one is an island to themselves. When the pressures of everyday life begin to feel like too much, I pray they have a friend they can call, and they can come to You together and receive all they need in their hearts and souls. Thank You Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. #DaughtersOfTheKing #Friends #Prayer
