By improving efficiency at industrial plants and facilities, #American manufacturers are saving money on operational costs that can be re-invested into their businesses, helping the U.S. compete in the global economy. Through the Energy Department’s Better Buildings, Better Plants Challenge, partners commit to reducing their #energy intensity by 25% over 10 years, developing energy management plans, and sharing their successful strategies annually. If all #US commercial, multifamily, and industrial buildings and facilities improve at this rate, energy cost savings could total more than $80 billion annually.
