By sheer accident, I was able to see the Presidents speech from last week. I am still scratching my head about all the uproar. He spoke like a true leader, imploring Congress to action. It is unfortunate that he has to publicly humiliate Boehner for not doing what so many others have done before him... Everyone admits we need immigration reform, but Boehner refuses to act on a bipartisan Senate bill. Now, that Obama has taken action - they threaten to cut funding. OK... So, Obama wants more guards on the border to help protect and secure the borders (what republicans claim to want) and if they defund it, they will in essence be taking agents away from the border - making it less secure... does anyone see the hypocrisy??? I am sure it will be lost on my bestie unLefties.
