By the People, For the People, We the People! For some reason, in this great Country of ours, we got off track with just who runs the country. When the brilliant forefathers of this great Republic thought about how this government should work, they knew that it must be controlled by the people. However, in the late 1700′s, it was a little difficult to communicate one’s wishes from the distant lands of the newly formed United States of America. So, in their infinite Wisdom, they created a government with representatives elected by the people to be their proxies in Washington. This system of government has suited us well until the most recent Congresses. I’m no historian but sometime following WWII our leadership in Washington started us down a path of increasing socialism that has brought us to the brink of disaster today. Our Values and our democracy are at stake, here, and it should be the most important issue to every American. J. Weis
