By the turning where my niece and two of my nephews were killed - TopicsExpress

By the turning where my niece and two of my nephews were killed there is a boulder. Set back from the road it is where we place flowers, candles etc. It is also where we put a photo of them on the anniversary of their loss. Previously, persons unknown have stolen or destroyed our offerings. The council and police have said they have no issue with the items. And yet someone keeps destroying what is not just a memorial for much loved children, but also a reminder that selfish, inattentive driving can have unimaginable consequences. On the day we set it up a person who lives nearby pulled up and berated our friends for making an issue of it yet again. He wanted us to leave it be, forget, move on and ignore what happened. He is clearly not the only one who would prefer that the unnecessary death of 3 children is forgotten as less than two weeks later the photo was gone. Printed on plexiglass and mounted with two wrong brackets this cannot be blamed on the winds. This is the shameful desecration by someone who cannot bear to be reminded. How convenient for some that forgetting is that easy. Please share this so both the memory and the message to stay safe is not forgotten.
