Byron Update! It is crazy what a difference a week can make. Byron is gaining weight, his coat is starting to look great and his personality is really starting to show. Hes is still a little timid, but is definitely making progress. Before the surgery, he smelled horrible due to the infection, but now he doesnt smell at all! He is starting to love the indoor life too, and his favorite things are eating wet food and laying on his blanket with a heating pad under it. Byron will have his stitches out the Monday before Christmas, as well as his vaccines and follow up bloodwork to see how his kidneys and liver are doing. His first round of bloodwork showed a lot of issues, but we hope with food, hydration, and antibiotics that his levels will even out. As you can see by the pictures, he is healing nicely!
