C-K road closures this week: Upgrades to railway crossings will temporarily close routes in Chatham-Kent this week. Motorists are being advised to avoid Sinclair Road, between Coutts and Mint lines in Tilbury East. All lanes will be closed starting at 7 a.m. Tuesday until 4 p.m. Wednesday to allow for rail replacements and rehabilitation of the CP Rail crossing. A detour route will be marked using Coutts Line to Jeannettes Creed Road to Mint Line. Starting Thursday, the CP Rail improvement work will close Queen Street N. in Tilbury between Rogers Street and Mint Line. All lanes will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. A detour route of Rogers Street to Mint Line will be in effect, with only local traffic allowed up to the railway crossing during both projects.
