CAIR CAIR-NJ Asks Jewish Leaders to Repudiate Rabbi’s Call for Ethnic Cleansing (SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ, 11/23/14) – The New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NJ) today called on leaders of the Jewish community in that state to repudiate remarks by a Rabbi advocating ethnic cleansing of what he called “Arab-Muslim animals” and suggesting that the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem be destroyed. “Our state’s mainstream Jewish leadership should speak out strongly against extremists in their midst, just as American Muslim leaders have spoken out against religious extremism,” said CAIR-NJ Executive Director Mohamed El Filali. Video: CAIR Condemns Murder of U.S. Aid Worker Peter Kassig by ISIS (PBS) youtu.be/qVAff59qu-I In a blog post, Rabbi Steven Pruzansky of Congregation Bnai Yeshurun in Teaneck, N.J., called for Israel to collectively punish Arab Israelis and Palestinians until they realize “they have no future in the land of Israel.” In the post, titled “Dealing with Savages,” Rabbi Pruzansky offered suggestions that ranged from destroying Palestinian towns to removing the Dome of the Rock. He advocated that all the residents of destroyed towns be expelled from the country. Pruzansky wrote: “There is a war for the land of Israel that is being waged, and the Arabs who dwell in the land of Israel are the enemy in that war and must be vanquished.” He referred to “the Arab-Muslim animals that span the globe chopping, hacking and merrily decapitating” and added, “At a certain point, the unrestrained behavior of unruly animals becomes the fault of the zookeeper, not the animals.” N.J.
