#CAIR-CT to Join Community in Solidarity with #Ferguson, Michael Brown Family (NEW LONDON, CT, 8/16/2014) – On Sunday, August 17, the Connecticut office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-CT) will join community and faith leaders to stand in solidarity with the Ferguson community and the Michael Brown family at a “Black is Not a Crime” rally. CAIR is the nations largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization. Its mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
