CALL FOR NURSES: So I fainted today while watching the doctors change out the gauze in Rachels chest cavity. There was something about watching multiple feet of gauze go in an out of a big window in the side of my wifes chest that just didnt sit right :). Over the past two months a lot of people have graciously asked how they can help. This is something we definitely need help with. Once the area toughens up and when her health is stable enough, they will send her home, but they will leave the “window” open so that we can continue to change out the gauze daily until the infection is cleared. Bottom line, were doing a call for nurses that are willing to assist with the gauze changes once she returns home. As of right now, it looks like this will happen late next week.
