Reaching a certain age, youth tend to abandon those places as they seem to not be able to come up with ideas and projects to fulfill their professional paths in the country side. In spite of the improvement in living conditions in rural areas and the consequent problems in urban areas related to the rural exodus, European youth seems to be stuck in the idea their personal and professional projects cannot happen in rural areas. Therefore, this project aims to help youth from remote areas think outside the box, meet young people with similar problems and aspirations, share ideas and personal projects and learn important tools in order to develop their entrepreneurship competences and use them to benefit themselves and their rural context. All activities will be based in non-formal education and peer learning. Moreover, youth from Europe will experience the culture of a northern region of Portugal and see how the issue of remoteness has been tackled. Period exchange: 5 days in July + 2 (travel days) Place: Pinhel (Portugal) Participants: 10/ each association + 1 group leader (If we reach a higher number of partners, the number of participants might decrease accordingly) Aged: 15 to 30 years old The Deadline to submit the project is 04/02/2015 If you are interested please let me know!
