CALL OUT FOR PARTICIPANTS Would you like to take part in a cultural exchange and choreographic project? We are looking for applications from dancers aged 16 years and over to take part in a choreographic project culminating in two public performances in Leeds in July 2014. Closing deadline for applications is MONDAY 9 JUNE 2014. Yorkshire Dance and Ombetja Yehinga Organisation (from Namibia) are looking for young dancers, graduates and dance students to join a company of dancers for a week long project at Yorkshire Dance. The company will be creating an issue based performance piece over the week which will be performed at Yorkshire Dance on Friday 4th July and at Scothall Road Spectator Hub on Saturday 5th July as part of Le Tour De France. The project will be lead by OYO Director Phillippe Talavera and UK Dance Artists and Artistic director of FuzzyLogic Zoie Golding. Choreographic workshops: Monday 30th June to Friday 4th July 2014 10.00am – 5.00pm each day Performances: Friday 4th July evening (at Yorkshire Dance) Saturday 5th July afternoon/ evening (External venue) GENERIC CRITERIA - Must be available for the whole project (workshops and performances) - Some dance experience required - TO APPLY All applicants MUST complete and submit an application form.
