CALL OUT FOR TINNED FOOD/TOYS for Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) Hi all, Im doing a call out for tinned food and toys for the asylum seekers. Whenever you do your next grocery shop, pick up a few cans of tinned fruit and veggies. You could even pick up packs of noodles....basically things with a reasonably long shelf life of a few months. If you have any near new toys those will be awesome as well! I will set a day sometime next week to do a drive in Melbourne and surrounding suburbs to pick up all your tinned food and toys and I will then drop if of at ASRC in Footscray. For practicality, it would be cool if you picked up a minimum of $25 worth of food.I will also get a big card and you guys can sign it and add a message. Message me if you would like to donate and Ill get in touch. And like I always say, despite what our govt tries to mind-wash you with, it is NOT illegal for people to seek asylum, whatever means they enter our country by! We are a privileged country that has been built by migrants... lets share this with other human beings who are not so fortunate. Thanks BB
