CALLING the MIIS Peace Corps Community!!!! Peace Corps Burkina Is have a Dance Marathon. A dance marathon is an event where people dance for a given length of time, working as a team around a common goal. The event is a way for participants to display their dancing skills, unite around a common cause, and to have fun. The purpose of our marathon is to raise money, promote cross-cultural exchange, motivate a community, and to have fun! On October 25th, Peace Corps Volunteers and the community of Fada N’Gourma, Burkina Faso will come together to raise money for youth programming by participating in the second Annual Dancing for Development Dance Marathon. Although this event will be filmed and shared with our partners in America, the events will also be broadcasted simultaneously through Skype. Want to dance? Great! By organising a dance marathon fundraiser in your school/ community, you will be helping the efforts of the Youth Development committee to empower youth in Burkina Faso. .
