***CALLOUT#92*** 16/11 0815hrs - A busy day for Brixham CRT today. We were tasked by Solent Coastguard to drive to Seaton to assist Lyme Regis and Beer CRT’s in retrieving a TEP (Time expired pyrotechnic) from a remote location on the shoreline between Axmouth and Lyme Regis. We were unable to approach the area from Axmouth as a landslip had blocked access and we had a 50 minute walk across fields and through dense vegetation to the shoreline. Berry Head CRT were tasked with the transportation back to Brixham of the Man overboard marker, which as it turned out, had been discharged. The job took over 6 hours with 10 Coastguard Officers and 4 Coastguard vehicles in attendance. We eventually departed for Brixham at approximately 1400 with the pyrotechnic safely secured in our trailer.
