CAMP PENDLETON: Marine arrested in connection with infant sons death THE ASSOCIATED PRESS A Marine has been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection to the death of his infant son. Oceanside police said the 7-month-old boy was brought to the Camp Pendleton base Naval hospital early Friday. Lt. Sean Marchand said the child had suffered various traumatic injuries was transferred to Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego, where he died. Marchand said the child’s father, 22-year-old Stanford Morocho, was taken into custody after making incriminating statements during an interview with detectives. He and the child’s mother are in the military. The cause of the infant’s death was under investigation. No other details were released. Morocho was scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.�
