CAMPANULA- Bellflowers Pic one is my C. Persicifolia which lays dormant in summer and comes back in autumn to spot flower through to spring when it will be in full bloom as in pic 2. Pic 3 is my C. Little Bells. Well I think this is what this one is called. It is a low spreading one with tiny flowers. It is happy growing behind a rock. I think the rock gives it a cool root run. It goes semi dormant over summer and re-establishes itself in autumn to spot fl through to spring when it will be in full flower. This one trails. It is not easy to move as it has lots of little shoots which travel behind and through the rocks. They seem to cope in the heat by going dormant to semi dormant. Then come back again when cooler and rain around. Obviously suited to Mediterranean regions.
