***CAN BE RESERVED ONLINE*** 10 year old Batman has been sitting in a small cage at Manhattan ACC waiting for his people to come and get him. Sadly, nobody ever came and now to make matters worse, ACC has decided he has to go asap--they’ve put Batman on tomorrow’s euthanasia list. Though he’s been there a while, Batman’s medical is, at best confusing and with gaps. We learn he’s got 10 year old teeth that need attention; that he flinched when his ears were touched but no indication of whether he was carefully screened for ear infection; that he “howled” upon abdominal palpation but no indication of anybody trying to figure out why. And when he went for his behavioral eval and found to be “tense and uncomfortable” during the handling items, nobody seems to have asked what the problem might be. But look closely at that eval-he did just fine on dog on dog. So tonight, Batman needs to find that special someone who will get him to a real vet to figure out what issues he might have, to get him a good groom so the mats will stop hurting, will give him a soft bed, a bit of peace and quiet, short walks through the neighborhood, and cuddles whenever he wants them. If you think you can handle all those doggie kisses you’ll get in return, step up to foster or adopt Batman.
