The year prior to that, my mother was diagnosed with cancer as well at 52 years old. My mom and grandfather would ride together to get chemotherapy and radiation several days a week. After my grandfather lost his battle, my mother was told later that year she was cancer free. My mother had a new lease on life and began to live like she always wished she had. Six months later, the cancer returned and spread and she lived a very tough life until we finally lost her on 04/03/2013...she was 54. This summary is only a mere shadow of how difficult and incredibly painful my mothers suffering was for her and those who loved her. I volunteered for this cause because it is my hope that fewer of you will ever have to experience such pain and suffering.
