CAN YOU HELP? Ruth Wilmarth, Rotary Club of Montrose takes the lead... When you open your morning newspaper, or turn on the TV news – the images from the Philippines strike horror in your heart. Rotary responds to needs all over the world, but it also brings many of us together from all over the world, and now it is time for our action. Montrose Rotary has a history with Rotary in the Philippines, as many of our clubs do. District 7410 once had an International Matched District Agreement with District 381. Montrose has also arranged Group Study Exchanges, either hosting or providing a team leader or members. They also sent their Rotarian forester on a month-long vocational Rotary Volunteer Project to the Philippines to study and plan a reforestation program. . Yesterday, November 11, Montrose Rotary authorized $3,000.00 to send immediately to ShelterBox USA. That has been done, but the Montrose Club is not finished. Their club members, along with the community, will donate more. Please join the Montrose Rotary by contributing to shelter boxes. This need is immediate and will save lives. Any amount will be vital to the viability of the survivors. Please go to URLshelterboxusa.org or contact Ruth Wilmarth of the Montrose Rotary club at 570-289-4226 or [email protected] if you need help with your donation. So much is needed - now, and for the foreseeable future. NOTE: For club donations, when you visit the Shelter Box URL, please enter your club name and District 7410 for appropriate recognition.
