CANARABANK SC/ST EMPLOYEES WELFARE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTATIVES HAVE ATTENDED THE QUARTERLY MEETING HELD AT MAIN CONFERENCE HALL HO BANGALORE ON 26 09 2014. On behalf of our Canara Bank Sc/St Employees Welfare Association, Sri Guruswamy President,Bangalore Sri M V Gobidasan Vice President Ernakulam, Sri S Thangaraju Vice president Madurai Sri M Yerranna Vice President Bellary Sri A Sivaji General Secretary Chennai, Sri K S Kataria Deputy General Secretary Chandigarh Sri P Govindappa Treasurer Bangalore, Sri H L Manjunath Naik Chief Org. Secretary.Bangalore Sri B L Ramesh Joint Secretary Bangalore Sri H Thippesamy CC Member Bangalore Sri H J Minz CC Member Ranchi Sri Vinod Kumar CC Member Jaipur, have attended the meeting, and on behalf of the Canara Bank Management, Sri V S Krishna Kumar Executive Director, Sri Shyamalendu Saha, General Manager HR Wing, Sri C P Giri General Manager HR Wing. Sri Ramesh General Manager,Chief Liaison Officer, HO Bangalore Sri V Sundaram DGM HR Wing Sri K Virupaksha DGM PC Wing Sri Nair Ajith Krishnan AGM HR Wing Sri B S Kamat Senior Manager PM Section Sri Mahesh Manager IR Section Sri Vijay Senior Manager Sc/St/Obc Cell, have attended the meeting. Sri Shyamalendu Saha extended a warm welcome to all those present. He informed that we have almost compleated the recrutiment process of employees and officers for 2013,2014,2015 well in advance,and 3545 officers and 2199 clerks in the current year. As promised we have provided GUM Boots and Socks for not only HKP but also to Substaff level. In our Bank in the Scale I officers cadre Sc/St comprises of 24 % and Scale II 27.5 % which is above the adequate level of 22.5 %. Sc/St comprises of 26 % in the Bank as whole.At present we are having 53000 employees and aiming for 55000 employees before March 2015. Sri V S Krishna Kumar Executive Director, has welcome all the representatives and informed that meeting the representatives regularly is a Good trend for the Bank. He has expressed that Bank has done Good in various areas except those of CASA which is below Mar 2014. All the people should take initatives to improve the same to the Industry Level.Task is much more difficult.Good number of Customers are there.We have to target the Colleges and Schools.NPA reduction and Cash recovery is also an another area to be concentrated.He informed the representatives to circulate the message to all the people. He has complimented the Chairman of the Bank that in the past 21 months the Chairman has taken the Bank to a greater level in all the areas. Sri Guruswamy President of the Association expressed his sincere Thanks to the CMD of the Bank and all the HR Team for having helped us in all the speares. He requested the Management to grant more and more loans in the OCTOBER Sc/St Month. He has also requestted the Management to give an additional Priority to the SENIORS in the promotion process and to give additional weightage to the RURAL SERVICE. Sri A Sivaji General Secretary has thanked the Management for providing the shoes and Socks. Those who not allowed to wear Cheppal in this country have been provided with Shoes today.Shoe Poishers now wears the Shoes. He has also requested the Bank to have a uniform Transfer policy for promotees mainly for ladies. He has thanked the Management for sanctioning loans to the sc/sts during the Sc/St month April and the same trend to be followed during Oc tober also. He has demanded the management not to outsource the 1. House keeping of the Administrative Offices since sc/sts are doing the HKP and sweepers job mainly and this will stop the employement of Sc/Sts. 2.Not to engage the retired people in Recovery Agences as their level of strength will be very weak. 3.Not to have faculty from the retired Officials as they do not know the practical problems inside the Bank and their sesitizing is not up to mark. 4.Not to engage the retired people for Inspection as their responsibilites are in very low when compared with the regular inspectors. Instead Young people can be employed and allotted with the required job to complete it fast. He has also informed that Quite a numberr of SB accounts are there with the Bank but balance is not there.Its mainly because the ATMs cards are not issued to the young people mainly students who are having Canchamp accounts. ATM machines are also to be services so that all of them works in all Sundays and Holidays.... Details of Recruitment presented in the meeting are.....
