CAPE TOWN – We have a very special and precious little “honorary Spaniel”, called Isis, who needs a very special forever home. PLEASE READ HER STORY AND LET’S TRY AND FIND THIS GIRL THE SPECIAL HOME SHE DESERVES. ISIS’S STORY: On Monday the 17th of Feb 2014 I got a call from our neighbouring company, Console glass. They told me that there is a dog stuck in a drain on their premises. When I got there they told me that she has been in the drain since the Friday night. With temperatures reaching a flaming 39 degrees over that weekend it must have been absolute torture for her. I saw her standing in shoulder depth water, her eyes barely open and infected. The drain contained human waste. She would not be able to lie down to sleep, as the water was too deep and she would have drowned. Lynton and I removed the grid. We tried to get her out with the net, but she was in extreme pain, and the net was worsening it. So I lied on my stomach and hoisted her out with a lead. She was extremely aggressive and in much pain. She was very weak and collapsed. We bathed her to get the feces off her. Her whole lower body was covered in burns and blisters because the drain water burned her. She slept for 24 hours straight. The next morning she was much better and she allowed me to touch her. After a week, she is a healthy, bouncy puppy with a healthy appetite and a naughty streak. Her skin still has lots of healing to do, but she is ready to be homed now. Royal Canin has been kind enough to donate her some Skin support Jnr food, and now it can only get better from here on. Again a lesson in life, because she has forgiven and forgotten, and all she has left over is love to give. If you can give this precious little girl a loving home, PLEASE CONTACT ALMA ON 021 951 3010 / email [email protected] Regards Alma – Animal Anti Cruelty Bellville South
