CARE USA through CARE-Cameroon serves as the prime for a cooperative agreement for the five-year USAID-funded project : continuum of prevention, care, and treatment (CoPCT) for HIV/AIDS with Most-at-risk Populations (CHAMP), in partnership with johns Hopkins University (JHU) and Global Viral (GV). Together, the consortium is collaborating with the National Aids Control Committee, the Ministry of Health, community-based organizations (CBOs) and other stakeholders to build the capacity of the national, regional and community response. CHAMP has the following objectives : technical competence of partners in key populations program design &management; and service delivery for increased CoPCT, improved enabling environment and quality assurance/quality improvement, and monitoring & evaluation systems. CARE cameroon is seeking experienced, motivated, and committed individuals to serve as part of the CHAMP team. Position Title : Logistics Officer (Yaoundé) SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains and organizes all inventory at the CHAMP warehouse and ensures the safe storage of health care supplies and consumables such as insecticide- trated nets, water filters, and food items for distribution to project beneficiaries Maintains a computerized inventory system to facilitate tracking and delivery of all project deliveries and supplies Assists assists in ordering and unloading supplies from vendors including accepting and signing for deliveries Maintains a delivery schedule and ensures that orders are received from and delivered to CBOs on a regular basis. Advises the CHAMP finance Manager whem it is necessary to replenish inventory and participates in the procurement process Serves as point of contact for all CHAMP vendors and distributors Reports any problems, issues, and losses to the CHAMP finance Manager Works in close collaboration with the CARE Cameroon finance and administrative team Desired Minimum Qualifications Education : bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree with field experience required Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience in stock management and working with large inventories ; Previous work with international CBOs a plus. Language Proficiency : Written and oral fluency in french language is required. Additional fluency in written and oral English ispreferred. Knowledge : understanding of rules and regulations related to USAID project funding, sub-contracting and reporting requirements desired. Skills and abilities : Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
