What does a Bluebird Care Worker do? As a care worker you will help to care for and support people in their own homes providing a range of domestic and personal care services. Bluebird Care provides the very highest standards of care at home to older people, people with a physical disability and people with learning difficulties. The Newbury office covers the Hart and Basingstoke & Deane local authority areas including all the surrounding villages. We are focused on the self funding market and our customers have high expectations of the company and our care workers which means in turn we demand the very best from our staff. A range of full time and part time hours are available including days, evenings and weekends; Early shifts start at 7am and finish between 2pm and 6pm. Afternoon/Evening shifts start between 12noon and 4pm and finish at 10pm. All Care Workers must work alternate weekends. Alternatively, part time, weekend only hours are available either on alternate or every weekend. All Care Workers must drive and have use of their own car. As a Care Assistant/Care Worker, what training will I receive? We provide the very best training and support, including a 4 day initial training programme delivered by our own team of trainers, supplemented by shadowing with experienced care workers until you are comfortable in the job. In addition, we are committed to your personal development and provide ongoing developmental training; for example in dementia care and end of life care. We also support our care workers in level 2 and 3 diplomas in health and social care. As a Care Assistant/Care Worker, how much will I be paid? Rates of pay are from £7.95 to £16.16 per hour depending on experience. We also offer guaranteed hours. Fuel paid at 32p per mile. 28 days holiday and membership of the Bluebird Care Healthcare Cash Back Scheme. We will also be offering pensions from May 2014.
