CASCADIA SUBDUCTION ZONE WARNING! I post this video regularly because most do not realize just how serious a threat the Cascadia Fault is. When this does slip, it will be an earthquake and consequent tsunami beyond most peoples comprehension. Cascadia has been building up pressure lately that has not been seen before. And, prior to this, there was unprecidented seismic activity on the southern edge. This is building up of pressure IS NOT GOOD! Its not a matter of if, but when, and the Oregon Office of Emergency Management has predicted thousands of unavoidable casualties and billions in damages. Cascadia slips regularly every couple hundred years, and it is way overdue. The last slip in the late 1700s produced an Orphan Tsunami that destroyed whole communities throughout the Pacific Ocean. Through damage reports from Japan, scientists were able to pinpoint the last event down to the hour. So, if you live within a tsunami danger zone, please KNOW and practice your evacuation plan! You should do this always! Be prepared!
