CAT Scan Update: UPDATE: Yesterday was difficult a day. The CAT scan results while showing signs of continued shrinkage, did not render the same results as my first series of chemo. My tumors had minimal shrinkage. No shrinkage at all in pancreatic tumor and maybe a 20% shrinkage in the 2 liver tumors, the good news... no spreading of tumors any where. Thats about it....oh except I have one bit of news no one is taking about..not even at Karmonos but its the most wonderful miracle I have heard in the 6 months since Ive been diagnosed. Its breath taking and wonderfully amazing. You all know Ive decided to seek alternative treatment at John Hopkins. My first appointment is as remarkable as what Im going to tell you in a few sentences...but my 1st appointment is January 12th 55 years to the day my father passed away. Hell be with me this day, sharing my hope. Now to the miracle news I receiveded yesterday from John Hopkins. Doctors at the Goldman Center at John Hopkins have discovered many of the genetic (DNA) changes that drive cells in the pancreas to become cancerous they are the first to decipher the COMPLETE genetic code of pancreatic cancer. They are now in phase 2 of the clinical trial which have been shown to extend life by attacking this cancer through immunological procedures which is proving, again, to be exactly the right choice for me.
