Now, welcoming another petite lady, Patricia “Patti” Nabong, hailing from a nation of 7,107 islands to the mother event Rainforest Challenge this year! A historic first for the Republic of Philippines 1st lady off-road 4x4 racer to take on the Grand Final RFC; “ I am overwhelmed to have this privilege to be the 1st lady driver to rep my country in the most prestigious 4x4 competition in the world,” said Patti excitedly; “little did I know that the gift of “Sammy” (my Suzuki Samurai) from my papa for my then 20th bday would start off this hobby - & now leading to this!” Like all off-road enthusiasts the world over, what started off as a hobby, later became a passion – so much so that she got “hooked” spending most of her free time off-roading; it was only in 2013 that she started to compete in 4x4 racing, even tho’ no-podium-finish, but it didn’t deter her at all, in fact, it inspired her to better herself in training, honing her driving/recovery skills even more - a get-up & get-going lady you bet– which says it all for this petite lass hailing from Pampanga Adventure Team; She has already created a stir of interest at home as she readies for the task ahead this 28Nov-8Dec in Malaysia; With the support & backup coming from everyone, esp from her province, RFC PH Rep (Robby Consunji) & Larry Mendiola (the highest ranked Pinoy 4x4 driver in RFC), Patti is “All Systems Go!” Pix: Welcoming Pati Nabong to RFC 2014, catch the Philippines woman power in 4x4 on Presentation Day 28Nov & check her out in the coming 29Nov-8Dec in Negeri Sembilan (NS) state + support frm Vice-gov Dennis Pineda (top) & RFC PH Rep (Robby) & Larry (bottom) & Patti with her Pampanga Adventrue Team tro’ the rough & tumble of “more fun” in off-roading in the Philippines !
