CB Jammu Register FIR against Fraudster Couple Crime Branch, Jammu today registered a case under FIR No. 23/2014 u/s 420, 406, 120-B RPC against Woman Selection Grade Constable Nirmal Kour @ Nirmal Saini and her husband Selection Grade Constable Mohinder Singh Saini for cheating and duping the fellow officials and misappropriating the huge amount of money and gold. The case was registered on the complaints of two Woman Constables Veena Devi No.533/IR-15th Bn and Sabeena Akhter No. 544/IR-15th Bn, who approached Commandant IRP-15th Bn. Jammu against W/S.G.Ct Nirmal Kour No. 211/IR 15th Bn. and her husband S.G.Ct. Mohinder Singh Saini presently posted in AP-14th Bn. for cheating and criminal misappropriation of `2.00 lacs which had been taken by the couple with the promise of repaying the money with an interest of `5000/- per month, but neither the interest nor the principle money was paid to them. During the course of enquiry conducted by the Commanding Officer IR-15th Bn. it was found that the accused Nirmal Kour in connivance with her husband Mohinder Singh Saini had collected a huge amount of cash and gold not only from the complainants but also from other women officials of the 15th Bn. and Security wing illegally and dishonestly after alluring them for high rate of interest and gold loan facilities but had used the money and gold for their personal use thereby cheating and duping the fellow officials and misappropriating the collected amount to the tune of `1.50 crores and gold about 300 gms. SSP Crime Branch, Jammu Mubassir Latifi said that reportedly a number of other persons have also been duped and cheated by this charlatan couple. He said that thorough investigation has been initiated into the matter to unearth the whole racket involved in cheating and duping the innocent and gullible people.
