CC THE LAST BLOW The much anticipated by-election between Munya and Dr. Kilemi may not even be there. Reliable sources within Peter Munyas office intimate to my news desk that EACC has been ransacking the former governors office and grilling staff since Monday due to allegations of rampant corruption in his office. Media reports also indicate that Meru County has been ranked top 5 in the corruption indices released by the Anti-corruption body. We want to know how people were hired irregularly, how funds were misused and embezzled, and how procurement procedures were flouted to favour certain individuals. I bet this is the last nail in the former governors coffin. After this, we are going for MCAs who have been implicated in several malpractices including receiving bribes to influence employment and award of tenders among other issues. By the time we are done, Dr. Kilemi will be sitting pretty on the governors seat and the journey of transforming our county will begin in earnest.
