CEASEFIRE, our program credited for reduction of violent crimes, was in the news last week. The program calls in those involved in violent crime and lets them know that law enforcement is aware of their activities. Law enforcement officers join with church, non-profit and other service agencies at the meetings offering help to change their lives. So last week law enforcement arrested 13 who have previously been called in and who continued criminal activities, outlined in story below. We also held a new call in and ALL 15 of the people called in, opted for help and services.
