CERTIFICATE SAGA The reason our parents sent us to school is not to know how everything works but to have the ability to know how anything works. I have never been in the military but I have worked in other institutions and like the above statement said, maybe an idea of instituitons M O. When one applies for a job, he possesses certain credentials say FSLC, WAEC. The company inspects the certificates and returns them. Now it is possible that in the course of time, the company may send the person on courses say, security, HSE, aerial combat etc. Now the company may decide to hold on to the certificates of these courses for a time they deem enough for their investment on you to have been paid in full. I even know of a person in one of our states who must be in the employ of the company for 7years because they sponsored his masters in a most prestigious institution. That they will hold on to your personal certification you owned prior to their employing you is preposterous and if indeed it is happening should be stopped pronto. Also, INEC neither accredits nor disqualifies candidtates. Accreditation is done by parties and if a party presents an unqualified person, INEC can only act on it based on authorisation by a petition. If a petition is written, INEC then sends the issue back to the party to resolve, the party resolves and forwards to INEC period and if INEC had disqualified before , well... change has come nah. For those asking INEC what GMB has been using for past elections...I thought you are advocating for change? If prior to this time it had been overlooked, cant change happen? Abi change na only una party go bring am? Remember too that INEC treats each election independently, and not as a continuous event. That is why new forms are sold and bought, new pvcs are issued, forms are filled anew and submitted. Or maybe nobody ever thought to doubt the integrity of Mr integrity, so no one petitioned.
