CFX Mexico Day 3 Reflection: Before today, Xavier CFX Mexico was - TopicsExpress

CFX Mexico Day 3 Reflection: Before today, Xavier CFX Mexico was already a group of young men dedicated to fulfilling and upholding Xavier’s motto by being “men for others.” Today, they showed themselves to be even more. Upon seeing smoke rising from a house made almost entirely of plywood down the street from the work site, a group of Xavier students sprang into action by using buckets that are normally used for moving dirt as a means for getting water to the flames. In doing so, these men helped save the home of one family while creating a new one for another. Such a selfless act allowed the team to exceed the requirements for even being called a “man for others” incredibly, making today a great success. God, today, teach us to treat all of God’s creation with the same respect and dignity. Allow us to remember that we are all members of the same team, working towards the same goal. Allow us to remember that we come from a number of different backgrounds and environments, all from the same God. Allow us to work together today and make this world a better place. Amen.
