CHALLENGE: (Please share) What started out as a lesson on the role of a government, turned into a healing vehicle for students trying to cope with the senseless loss of classmates and ongoing violence that is plaguing the city of Paterson. The CLOTHESLINE PROJECT assignment asked students to bring in an old shirt. We then wrote messages that were were targeted toward Mayor Torres, Governor Christie or the people responsible for the senseless violence in our community. Then...we simple hung them up! In a short amount of time we have gotten awesome feedback from the community passing by! NOW THE CHALLENGE>>>Instead of dumping buckets of ice water on each other, I challenge ANYONE in the Paterson, NJ area to create your own t-shirt and hang in on the CLOTHESLINE! All you need is a t-shirt, permanent markers, an idea and two clothespins....and the location (SCHOOL 21-Corner of 10th and East 22nd Street) I hope to see a sea of shirts on MONDAY!!!!!
