****CHANGE OF PLANS**** PLEASE READ: Absolutely NO parking whatsoever in the elementary school on Appleby. This lot will be exclusively reserved for the media, videographer, photographer/sound person, people doing set-up of event, and the families of the GILBERT 23. I will repeat NO PARKING AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IS STILL THE MEETING PLACE TO WALK TO THE MEMORIAL. ALL parking will now be directed to Perry High School (1919 E Queen Creek Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85297) or the SW corner of Val Vista and Queen Creek. We have been informed that no street parking will be allowed. Everyone who is able to walk the approximate one mile from parking to elementary school is encouraged to do so but plan on arriving early to still be at the elementary school by 7:30pm. Everyone who is physically unable to do this please READ BELOW… CALLING ALL GOOD SAMARITANS… We need 12+ individuals with larger vehicles (mini-vans, SUVs, etc OR GOLF CARTS) to assist with transport from parking to elementary school as well as return people after the event. If you are able to do so please contact me in a private message so I can coordinate appropriately. I CANNOT PROMISE THAT I WILL RESPOND TO POSTED COMMENTS ON THIS THREAD SO YOU MUST PRIVATE MESSAGE ME. Individuals who CANNOT walk the mile to the elementary school but are able to do the shorter candlelight walk. We will be having people set up to transport you from the parking area to the elementary school. They will be holding signs advertising themselves as “transport for the night.” Individuals who CANNOT walk either section, you will need to get on one of the above listed transporters that will bring you to the elementary school. We will then have designated drivers to bring you to the memorial site at the appropriate time. THIS WILL ONLY BE OFFERED TO INDIVIDUALS THAT ARE PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO WALK. PLEASE PLAN YOUR TIMING ACCORDINGLY. ALL TRANSPORTERS WILL MAKE THEIR LAST TRIP AT 7:20PM. I apologize for the obnoxious capital letters but I find that people rarely read the whole post and tried my best to highlight the important parts.
