CHANGE YOUR POSITION AND GOD WILL CHANGE YOUR SITUATION - TopicsExpress

CHANGE YOUR POSITION AND GOD WILL CHANGE YOUR SITUATION Apart from God, the unchangeable changer that can change any situation in life change is the only thing that is constant. We change every day. Change could be a positive change or a negative change. Change is one thing many struggle to resist, however change is irresistible to some extent. Moreover if change is well managed, it can change ones history and transform one positively to a better person. You can change your lifestyle, your position, your location and your commitment to God, because these things will affect your life either positively or negatively. Four leepers in the Bible were able to change their position that eventually changed the situation of the entire Israelites. This was a period of great distress in the land of Israel, when there was a serious famine and threat of war was facing the entire nation. No body could rise up to change the situation because every one of them was living in fear. However the situation of these four lepers is unique because they l have been ostracized and separated from others. They could not live among the people. Child of God, I do not know what you are passing through today, but I know that God is capable of turning a bitter situation to a golden opportunity. We serve a God that turns fibroid into a fine boy. There is nothing too hard for our God. The Israelites were facing the same famine and starvation but refused to do anything. The problem with Christianity today is that Christians believe that it shall be well and never to anything to actualize it. Unfortunately many die without actualizing this belief. The lepers took a wise decision in 2kings 7:3-5 “Now there were four men with leprosy* sitting at the entrance of the city gates. “Why should we sit here waiting to die?” they asked each other. “We will starve if we stay here, and we will starve if we go back into the city. So we might as well go out and surrender to the Aramean army. If they let us live, so much the better. But if they kill us, we would have died anyway.” Beloved child of God, even when God is willing to change our situation, we need to do something to activate God’s hand to move to action. Do not sit tight. Change your position, and your way of doing things now and God will change your situation. The challenged death and took a bold step. It is written in the book of 2Kings 7:6-9 “ For the Lord had caused the whole army of Aram to hear the clatter of speeding chariots and the galloping of horses and the sounds of a great army approaching. “The king of Israel has hired the Hittites and Egyptians* to attack us!” they cried out. So they panicked and fled into the night, abandoning their tents, horses, donkeys, and everything else, and they fled for their lives. When the lepers arrived at the edge of the camp, they went into one tent after another, eating, drinking wine, and carrying out silver and gold and clothing and hiding it. Finally, they said to each other, “This is not right. This is wonderful news, and we aren’t sharing it with anyone! If we wait until morning, some terrible calamity will certainly fall upon us. Come on, let’s go back and tell the people at the palace.” God does not want to work in isolation. He wants to use man; that is why He prophesied through Elijah that by tomorrow the famine situation will change to surplus. God magnified the foot steps of the lepers so that He may change the ugly situation to the glory of His name. Child of God it is the will of God for your life that you make a positive change. CHARACTERISTICS OF A POSITIVE CHANGE I - ATTITUDE TO LIFE Many Christians do not have a good attitude to life. They do not see anything good in themselves, nor their offices, church, family, society to mention but a few. The bible has made it clear that all things work for good of those that fear and do the will of God. II - SELF MOTIVATION Any one who is never motivated will always end up as a looser. There are many challenges in life that should motivate you. If you refuse to be motivated you will remain in the same position for life. Queen Esther saw a challenge and she was motivated to act and she said “if I perish, I perish”. That singular decision brought deliverance to Israelites and changed her situation. III - SERVICE Service is a positive virtue that can lead to a positive change in the life of a Christian. The day a child of God realizes that he is born to serve, that is the day his journey to greatness started. In Christianity, the greatest men are those that chose to serve others. IV - HUMILITY Humility is a great virtue. Jesus humbled Himself and God exalted Him and gave Him a name that is above all other names that at the name of Jesus every Knee shall bow. God rebukes the proud and exalts the humble. TO GOD BE THE GLORY....
