CHAPTER 5: THE INVASION As Patricia walked into the precinct she could feel the tension that was surrounding her as if she was stranded in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and viciously closed in by killer whales,piranhas and blood thirsty sharks anxiously awaiting to devour her. Y proceed in trying to make. As she begin to quickly proceed in trying to make an exit to the lab her hopes and dreams were soon to be crushed. “Ummm, Commander Harris”. Shouted one of the detectives that got her attention as soon as she was out in the open. “Yes is it this time”. Replied Patricia sarcastically. “The Broward County’s chief executive and counsel wants to see you in the chiefs office”. Replied the detective. At that very moment a million and one thoughts came across her mind instantaneously. Not only the chief executive was present but the counsel was there also which indicated that this was very serious and she had to be very cautious. As Patricia walked into the office the atmosphere that she once felted when she walked into the station begin to tighten up its grip upon her. “How are you doing, Commander Harris “. Asked the chief executive officer as soon as she walked into the chiefs office. Patricia then took two more steps towards the office chair to sit down and was startled by the door unexpectedly slamming behind her. As she looked back she seen an unexpected face that she did not want or was not very pleased to see at a moment like this. This person did not see eye to eye with Patricia under any conditions or circumstances. The fact that both of these two individuals secretly belonged to two of the most infamous mafia families that were both enemies didn’t sit well on her conscience. “She knew Victoriella Lupiano all to well. This gave Patricia the notion that there is more to her sisters death knowing that there’s an venomous snake ready to strike at any given moment standing right behind her knowing that this case is nine times out of ten going to the federal bureau investigation unit in the hands of an Lupiano and even worse.....Davito Sanchez “Commander Harris, I’m sorry for your loss today,but on the behalf of security purposes I can’t let you take this case.” Said the chief of the FLPD as he continued to explain. “This case is in the hands of the F.B.I now”. Patricia knew that she was getting played none the less forced indirectly and tricked out of this case.
