CHECK OUT BUNNY BROWN! Great live music this Sunday! Bunny Brown, St. Catharines-born musician and songwriter now based in Toronto, performs on Sunday, September 29, 12:30 to 3:30 pm at Merchants Café, on 2 Matilda St, in east Toronto. Bunny welcomes special guest, intriguing Toronto artist Jack Breakfast, to the stage with her. The show is part of the ongoing afternoon music series called Mmmm. (It’s an acronym for Merchants monthly musical matinee, but it’s also an expression of pleasure at experiencing something delectable -- like listening to delightfully singular original music while sipping delicious single origin coffee!) Bunny Brown and Merchants Café team up on the last Sunday afternoon of each month to blend flavourful brews and fresh-baked treats with mellifluous melodies and whimsically wise words. Bunny plays tunes from her latest CD, Bunny Brown In Flames, plus gets out the ukulele for some nifty and naughty new ones. Tucked just behind Queen St. East in an historic factory warehouse that looks out towards Toronto’s skyline, Merchants is the hidden gem of the Riverside and Leslieville area. And with her strong 1920s to 1940s influences, Bunny’s guitar, piano and uke based songs feel right at home amid the rustic elegance, age and charm of Merchants Café. Get all the details by visiting bunnybrown. Merchants Café is located at 2 Matilda St. (one block north of Queen St. East, at Davies, adjacent to the DVP). bunnybrown/
