CHIEFTAIN DAILY ANNOUNCEMENT (THURSDAY 1.23.14) REGULAR SCHEDULE Once again a reminder for those students planning on trying out for a sport…please check with Mrs. Maloney in the front office to see if your physical is up to date or if you even have one on file. You may not try-out if you do not have all the paperwork turned in. Now accepting Applications for CJSF for both 7th and 8th graders. What is CJSF? It is an academic community service organization that meets during club schedules. 7th graders can sign up next year for the club, but should fill out a pink application now if your first semester report card grades are A’s and B’s. 8th grade CJSF students need to fill out this application as well – it will be your final application for the year. Forms need to be completed and returned to Room C-8, Mrs. Lowder, by: FEBRUARY 21st and can be picked up in the 8th grade and student services offices. Can you hold your breath for 5 seconds? Can you move your arms in a circular motion? Are you able to move your legs one at a time? If so, you are perfect for the Chieftain Swim Team! Any and all students interested in being on the Clark Swimming or Diving team this year, please attend a mandatory meeting in Mr. Berry’s room, C-3, at the beginning of lunch today to get some important information. See you then! Shorts will be allowed through the end of the year. Please keep in mind they must be in dress code! Attention all track and field athletes. Track and Field signups will take place during lunch all this week and next week in Coach Rivera’s room in C-6. Please come by to pick up paper work, and sign up for the events you are interested in doing for the upcoming track and field season. Also please make sure your physical is current. Clark Track and Field, where Runners, Sprinters, Throwers, and Jumpers are welcomed! Character Counts Pizza Party will be tomorrow. Students who have been nominated by a teacher or staff member will receive an invitation to join us for pizza and a drink by the stage. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Stinecipher in the 8th Grade Office. Any 7th and 8th grade BOYS interested in playing VOLLEYBALL for Clark this season-The Chieftain Boys Volleyball season is fast approaching and WE NEED YOU!!!!Tryouts will be held is the Clark Gym February 3rd-6th from 2:45 – 4:30. You will need a current physical on file in the Athletic Office, a 2.0 GPA, a good attitude and work ethic! Be sure you are dressed in athletic shorts, a t-shirt, and athletic shoes for try-outs. Attention all boys interested in trying out for the Clark Golf Team, there will be an informational meeting on Monday, January 27th, in room A-2 at 2:30 PM. Any girls interested in playing softball at Clark this year, please come to a short meeting in room M-12 @ lunch on Wednesday, January 29th.
