CHIPOLOPOLO STILL IN ZAMBIA The Chipolopolo departure for Cape Verde for tomorrows crucial 2015 Afcon qualifier remains shrouded in mystery. The team is still stuck in Ndola with just a little over 24 hours before they take on Group F leaders and the 4th best team in Africa, Cape Verde, tomorrow evening. Clearance procedures and availability of the transportation plane are being blamed for Zambia`s continued delay in leaving for Cape Verde. This morning, with no aircraft to take them in sight, chipolopolo went to Levy Mwanawasa stadium for training. The squad was supposed to fly to Cape Verde at 08:00 but the scheduled plane was not available. This is not the first postponement as, yesterday, other planned departures were cancelled. Sources say the new departure time will be 14:00hrs this afternoon. The Cape Verde authorities are reportedly waiting for Zambias confirmation and are in full swing with preparations for tomorrows match. The Cape Verde team has been pictured going through its final preparation as it seeks to cement its place on top after it beat Niger 1-3 away. This is Zambias toughest fixture on paper having just played its easiest fixture on paper against Mozambique. Cape Verde vs Zambia will be played on Wed 10th September 2014 at 19:00 Zambian Time. The stadium is set. The new National Stadium in Cape Verde, the venue of tomorrows match, has a capacity of 10,000 and Chipolopolo will be the first away team to play a competitive match albeit this may be without practicing on the pitch.
