*CHRISTMAS IS ABOUT CHRIST* We are told today that a Christian shouldnt celebrate Christmas because of all of its pagan affiliations. True, there is a lot of tradition and some pagan tares that have grown up around the truth throughout the centuries but doesnt satan do that with everything that is good? The birth of Christ was the method by which God would take on human flesh and die on a cross to pay for the sins of the world. It is the moment in time when God entered the human race. The only time in history that a virgin conceived. God became man! What true Christians attempt to do is make the kind of big deal out of Christs birth as God Himself did. A star pointed the way to where the baby Jesus lay and angels shouted and sang with joy. God heralded the birth of His Son! Luke 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. Luke 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. The point is, God made a big deal about the birth of His Son! Is it so wrong for Christians to do the same? If not for the birth of Jesus Christ, there would have been no death and resurrection of Christ, and we would all be lost in our sins today. The fact is, Jesus was BORN to DIE. His death and resurrection depended on His birth. All three are connected. For God to enter the human race, He had to be born of a woman. The gospel, the very thing that saves the human soul, came about by the birth of Christ. And what better time of year to spread the gospel than the time when many people are open to the good news of salvation, when otherwise they would not be? Satan knows this, therefore he has done all he can do to pervert the meaning of Christmas to a believer. If you choose not to celebrate Christmas due to personal convictions, thats fine. But many Christians choose to celebrate the season with honoring the birth of our Savior; the event that lead to the death and resurrection of our Savior; that in turn lead to our eternal salvation. I promise you one thing; not one true Christian worships anything pagan about Christmas. The focus is Christ! Luke 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. I dont know about yall, but I believe the birth of Jesus Christ is among the three greatest events in human history, for it was the day that God Himself tabernacled with men and became mans Savior!! Hallelujah!! Whether one believes it or not, a Christian can celebrate a holiday in honor of Christ without worshiping satans perversion of it, and the word of God says we can! (Romans 14:1-10) Let God be true but every man a liar... Romans 3:4. God bless and MERRY CHRISTMAS!! .
