CHRISTMAS PARTY! We are accepting toys, books, clothes, or gift certificates for our party to benefit children of parents in reentry - . Wont you please help? IF you contact potential providers, when you reach the MANAGER at Sam’s, Wal Mart, Target, Burger King, McDonald’s, Chick Filet, or any other source, please explain that we need gift certificates and/or an assortment of toys/clothes (for ages 1 to 12) for about 15 children for our Christmas party. THE SOONER THE BETTER! CCJ CHRISTMAS PARTY - EMILYS Bicycle IT’S NOT TOO SOON TO MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR DECEMBER 19th! On Christmas day, on my way home on my bike, I met little 9 year old Emily on Washington Street, riding the most adorable little girl’s bicycle you have ever seen! She was, of course, aglow with the pride and excitement of her new bike. Can you save $00.50 per day? There are X days before next Christmas; that’s $X. With that you can provide an “Emily” (in this case the child of a parent in reentry) with the bike of her dreams, a Superwoman or Dora the Explorer helmet to go with it, or whatever you choose! Hey, just a pair of mittens or a coat would be great! The main feature of the party, besides the delicious food and the fellowship provided by attendees, will be Christmas gifts for such kids. We are giving them much more than bikes and toys … we are giving them (children who no doubt at times are despondent, forlorn, and a little short on hope) the realization that there ARE people who care whether Mom or Dad succeeds with the challenges of reentry*. Of course, you don’t have to buy anything, all are welcomed: MARK YOUR CALENDAR: THE CITIZENS FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE FIRST ANNUAL CHRISMAS PARTY will be at the Activity Room (HUGE- invite some friends!), Luther Towers, 430 Kings Hwy.
