CITIZEN Q: Over the past month you’ve probably had your inbox filled with requests to keep sending you emails. The Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation came into force yesterday. The bill was passed four years ago and requires businesses to get your okay to keep emailing you. If you get emails you don’t want you can report them to the CRTC. Small business owners say it’s a hassle, and experts say spammers will just work out a country that doesn’t have any email laws, plus, they say, spam just isn’t a big deal.
