[CLASS UPDATE] 2014R1-ENGE2360 : Childrens Literature Arrangements or Weeks 5-6 Dear All, After many hours of thoughtful consideration, Ive decided that many in the class including myself need a day of sick leave. Our heart being heavy and our body and mind weary from restlessness, we are not feeling well, not at all. Your understanding will be much appreciated. Inevitably, there will be contingency arrangements, but Ive taken care to minimize the inconvenience caused. Please note that: 1. The lecture today will be CANCELLED. A lecture PPT that is more detailed than usual will be uploaded tomorrow for your reference. I will bring up the main points in subsequent lectures to make sure you still get the gist of this weeks lesson. 2. All Week 5 tutorials will be CANCELLED. That is, no meeting today. 3. Week 5 presentations on the Little Pretty Pocket-Book can be handled in any of the 3 ways proposed below: i) I am on campus today and ready to hear your oral presentation. Email me if you have prepared to give a talk. I can be there to assess your work as scheduled. ii) Alternatively, you can submit a 3-page paper in lieu of the oral presentation. The paper doesnt have to be a complicated one. It should simply convey all the points you intend to raise in the oral presentation. (Font Size: 12, double-spaced. Due date: 6 Oct 2014) iii) If you are not available today but still want to give an oral presentation, make an appointment with your tutor to do so before long. 4. Due to this weeks cancelled lecture, Week 6 presenters can discuss Gullivers Travels around a self-chosen topic. They may refer to the lecture PPT for some help, but their presentations need not be related to the lecture. Tutors will assess their presentations fairly with these factors in mind. 5.
