CLEAR ROAD AHEAD By Richard Harrison, written at Mount Pleasant, February 2, 2014 Been to many nice places Seen some ugly ones too Met some wonderful people but the other kind are always there for you Good memories linger on Bad ones I do suppress The essence of life I dear say Is to move on, and not regress Learn, I did, from these experiences Never will I forget That come what may Leap I will, and not regret The other side of this obstacle is a beautiful place But I would not know If I, with the support of true friends Restrained myself from the opportunity to grow So, thanks I say, to my few friends And to those that helped to point them out I will forever be grateful For the encouraging words that came from your mouth Eyes I now have…. In the back of my head For now I can see all around me And clear is the road ahead
